ANTHROPOLOGY GRADUATION
The Department of Anthropology wanted to refresh their graduation program, honors symposium poster, and the PowerPoint they display during the graduation event. I worked with Anthropology's Student Services Coordinator to create a branded program to update the dated look of their previous program. Additionally, I created a PowerPoint template to mirror the program that would allow our Coordinator to update it without any design knowledge.
DAAS GRADUATION
The Department of Afroamerican and African Studies requested an updated graduation brochure for their 2018 Graduation event. I wanted to create something unique for DAAS that still included the University of Michigan Brand. I took inspiration from the custom sashes DAAS hands out every year (photo below for reference). I selected Futura to add some more uniqueness to this piece instead of a more uniform sans serif.
SOCIOLOGY GRADUATION
The Department of Sociology refreshed the look of their graduation materials for the 2018 Graduation. The Sociology team met to discuss direction, look, and needs for this project. Once some input was received, the Undergraduate Advisor worked closely with me to tailor printed and digital materials to fit two events; Graduation and the Honors Symposium. The Department decided that all materials should have a similar look and consistency even if the events were held on separate days. An additional challenge was the need for a non-designer to edit the PowerPoint with constantly changing information. I was able to create background templates and a style guide for the Undergraduate advisor to follow creating a cohesive look between the printed and digital materials needed for these events. Students, Staff, and Faculty were pleased with the changes.
